Mental Health- Depression, Sadness, Loneliness, Feeling Unattractive, Not Worthy . This is a Must Read: "SELF LOVE"

For much of my 50 years of life, I struggled to love the person I saw in the mirror. This struggle to love myself was related to years of physical and verbal abuse I received from others around me. I now stand for the alarming 85% of the population that data suggests have low self-esteem and lack self-love. My platform, “Self-Love”, is focused on utilizing Dove’s self-esteem, evidence-based resources, for continuing my mentoring sessions, social media campaign, and internet blog to assist young people in raising their self-esteem and realize their full potential. I believe that self-love is the foundation for internal self-preservation. It is a state of mind that allows a person to appreciate, respect and embrace their true self; and grows from actions that support the mind, body, and spirit. The proper application of self-love will allow you to focus on your true happiness and well being. When self-love is a priority, it ensures your personal needs are nurtured and will not allow you to settle for less. When you learn to practice proper self-love, you will also learn to recognize your self-worth. No one deserves your love more than you. Practicing self-love can be challenging for many of us, especially during a pandemic that requires a stay at home order. Loving yourself does not mean you do not care about others. It’s about getting in touch with ourselves, our well-being and our happiness. When we practice self-love we are able to reach our fullest potential and breakthrough our own challenges. I have developed a 12-step process for developing a mindset of self-love.
